If you have lost your electricity key, the process of getting another key is different depending on which provider you’re with. You can find out the process for popular providers on this guide below.

Lost Electric Key EDF

If your provider is EDF and you have lost your electricity key to order a new one you can simply call their team on 0800 096 9000 Alternatively, you can order a new card online by entering the online form, you will need to enter your postcode and your account number. Your key should arrive within 5 working days, if this is too long for you to wait you can get your card delivered to a local retailer for you to pick up.

Lost Electric Key Scottish Power

To order a new electricity card with Scottish Power you need to call 0800 027 0072. You will need your account number ready to tell the member of Scottish Power staff. You can also order one online by logging into your account and finding the ‘order new electricity card’ in the account menu.

Lost Electric Key E.ON

To request a new Electricity key card from E.ON you can fill out an online form, you will need to enter your personal detail as well as whether you need a replacement gas or electric card, whether it was lost or faulty, how much credit was lost if there was credit on the lost card and how you would like to pick the card up from a shop or sent to you in the post. You should receive a reply to the form within 15 minutes if you submitted it during Monday to Friday 8am-8pm or Saturday 8am-to 8pm if you submitted it out of these hours or it is currently out of those hours you’re best calling their team on 0345 052 0000.

Lost Electric Key Utilita

If your provider is Utilita Energy and you have lost your top-up or electricity card you can generate a new top-up ecard online for free using their website or order a new electricity card by entering some of your details including your customer reference number, if you need some help locating this you can call 0345 207 2000.

Lost Electric Key NPower

If you’re with NPower and you have lost your card to order a new one you must call 0800 073 3000, you will have to pick up your card from a local outlet and you will be given a reference number during the phone call which you will have to write down to bring to the outlet to pick your new card up. Your card can be delivered to you but this may take up to three working days.
