One of the main reasons people get smart meters fitted into their homes is to save money on their bills, they can do this by providing regular readings to their providers to give them accurate bills. You can find out how to give EDF your smart meter reading with your mobile phone with this guide.
There’s three ways you can submit your smart meter reading with your mobile phone, online with your ‘myaccount’, with the EDF app or by calling the EDF contact number.
Submitting via ‘MyAccount’
If you don’t already have an account with EDF you can sign up by simply entering your postcode and EDF account number. Once you’re logged into your account you should be able to easily make a meter reading in your account options. If you’re struggling to find where you should submit your reading you can call the number and a member of the EDF team will be able to help you navigate the site and make a reading submission.
Submitting With The EDF Energy App
To submit a reading with the app you first need to have it downloaded onto your mobile. Make sure you’re logged in, logging in is the same as logging into ‘myaccount’ if you don’t have a ‘myaccount’ account you can log in using account number and postcode. On the app, there will be an option for you to submit a meter reading and to view recent meter readings that have been submitted.
Submitting Via Phone Call
You can also make a reading submission by calling the EDF smart meter submission number which is 0800 015 1733. You can call the number not only to make a reading submission but to also find out in more detail how to make a submission with your phone using the other methods or to find out other ways to submit readings and find out if you can set up automatic reading submissions.
